I have *finally* defeated the extra 5 pixels of gray border around every goddamn image on the EICN website. You don't care, but I do. They padded each image with 5 PIXELS OF SHEER ANNOYANCE. I couldn't find it in the .css, I couldn't find it in the .php, I couldn't find it any goddamnwhere until I found this other .css file tucked away which I was previously convinced did absolutely jack squatters until I was like, "What the hell, it can't hurt" and ran ctrl+f for "img". Motherfuckers, there it was... and now it's fixed and REE IS AWESOME. I still don't know why they split up the formatting into two different .css files, but I'm sure this is due to lack of imagination on my part and the original creators (who have written beautiful code, btw) had their reasons.
God, this feels good at 5:58 on a Friday evening. SCREW YOU, border: 5PX. YOU'RE OUT OF MY LIFE FOREVER.

...is the name of the content management system that we're using to build (or, shall I say, re-build) our website. Gone are the days when HTML and CSS can handle all of one's needs, when you had to FTP files individually up to servers, being careful to select ascii or binary so that your pages and images would render properly. Nowadays, you need dynamic content powered by PHP to get anything done. Apparently. Why did they teach us C and C++? They should've been teaching us how do do server-side scripting.
I think this is what my dad felt like after seeing modern-day stereos and mp3 players come about, after being able to build his own AM radios from a coil of wire and a battery. What older auto mechanics felt like after the carburetor went out of vogue and became replaced by engines that came with digital chips. What the master of Pacman and Donkey Kong will feel like when presented with an X-box360 and Halo 3.
I can do this. I can learn this. I am not an old dog. I am smart and capable, and definitely not screwed.
